As the sun begins to set, grab your popcorn and come and join us at one of the four outdoor cinemas in Saronida on Friday 20th at 8pm. Watching a movie under the stars, with the scent of jasmine, honeysuckle, and gardenia (or souvlaki) tickling your nostrils! An experience not to be missed.  The programme of films showing will be available at the SIFCA Information Desk at the Anchor Cafe Bar.

Εμπειρία Υπαίθριου Κινηματογράφου, 20 Σεπτεμβρίου

Καθώς ο ήλιος αρχίζει να δύει, ελάτε σε έναν από τους τέσσερις υπαίθριους κινηματογράφους στη Σαρωνίδα, όλα σε κοντινή απόσταση ο ένας από τον άλλο. Βλέποντας μια ταινία κάτω από τα αστέρια, με το άρωμα από γιασεμί, αγιόκλημα, γαρδένια (ή σουβλάκι) να γαργαλάει τα ρουθούνια σας! Μια εμπειρία που δεν πρέπει να χάσετε. The Diving Store, Agios Dimitrios see www.divingstore.gr will take qualified divers on a sea clean somewhere along the coast, depending on the weather conditions. All necessary equipment will be provided.

SIFCA is a vibrant platform celebrating the diversity of craft and technical skills that come together within the film and TV industry to create the magic we see on screen.

Facing the sea, by the pool at the Anchor Cafe Bar in Saronida is where we will be gathering to celebrate the start of our festival. A welcome party where festival-goers can meet with workshop leaders, the organizers and local volunteers, representatives of the Saronikos Municipality and the Greek Hollywood in Greece members. The fun commences at 7.00 pm, in time to get together and watch the sun setting over the sea.

The workshop will take place at the modern, well-appointed hair salon GLAMOUR ME in Anavyssos. It will be conducted by Liz Tagg, a course teacher at the Iver Make-up Academy based in the heart of Pinewood Studios. This is the only independent Further Education training school for make-up, hair and SFX artists. Liz Tagg is a highly acclaimed make-up and hair artist.

Participants can practise their skills hands-on! 

A maximum of 20 participants can be accommodated.

Μαλλιά & Μακιγιάζ για Κινηματογράφο & Τηλεόραση

Το σεμινάριo θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο σύγχρονο, άρτια εξοπλισμένο κομμωτήριο GLAMOR ME στην Ανάβυσσο. Θα διεξαχθεί από την Liz Tagg καθηγήτια  μαθημάτων στο Iver Make-up Academy που εδρεύει στην καρδιά των Pinewood Studios. Αυτή είναι η μόνη ανεξάρτητη σχολή εκπαίδευσης για καλλιτέχνες μακιγιάζ, μαλλιών και SFX. Η Liz Tagg είναι μία ιδιαίτερα καταξιωμένη καλλιτέχνης μακιγιάζ και μαλλιών.

Performance by the local Paidiko Panepistimio Kindergarten followed by Children's Acting Lesson and face painting.

At the Fokaia Amphitheatre, open to the public, local dance groups will demonstrate some traditional Greek dances and invite you to join in!

This event is free of charge.

A guided tour by local resident Anastasia Ioannidis, on foot, around Saronida to visit the open-air market and Greek produce outlets. Then a talk on the history of Greek tavernas and kiosks will be followed by a cookery lesson at the Saronida Traditional Restaurant where the owner's mother will demonstrate how to make some traditional Greek dishes.

A maximum of 20 participants can take place in the guided tour which is free of charge.

Lunch at the restaurant consisting of typical Greek mezedakia (many small dishes such as taramasalata, aubergine salad, seafood, olives, feta, anchovies, courgette fritters and so on) will be available for €15.

Starting at the Makis Agoutoglou Museum in Anavyssos to learn about the history of the Anavyssos people and local salt production), the tour continues at the XLOA Museum (traditional clothing, weaving and ancient artefacts (also in Anavyssos). Then on to Palaia Fokaia to visit the Cultural Museum (pictures and history of the Palaia Fokaia people}. Finally, a short presentation by local resident Anastasia Ionannidis about Saronida town and its people.

Athens Food Tour With your local guide you will walk around the food shopping area of Athens, seeing how Athenian people shop and meeting small, specialized business owners, tasting a variety of Greek produce and learning how to identify the best and freshest produce.See the meat, fish and fruit markets and sample delicious seasonal fruits from the farmer. After this introduction to the markets and food culture of Greece, you will then have the opportunity to shop and look for food yourselves.  You will be assigned some local specialities, and using your communication skills and imagination, you will experience first-hand the fun of wandering through the stalls and becoming a local! Later you will all share your treasures with the other participants! The cost will be around 8 eur for the food walk (expenses only for the food that the guide will buy) and another 5 eur for the market challenge (when they shop on their own). All food will be shared.

A tour of the Strofilia Wine Estate. www.strofiliawines.gr  Explore this vineyard of indigenous and international varieties of grape from different terroirs in Attica and the Peloponnese. Walk between the Savatiano and Malagousia vines and taste the wines in their natural environment. Wine tasting of an exclusive range of wines (with cheese, sausage and crackers) takes place in the specially designed tasting room overlooking the Anavyssos vineyards.

Ξενάγηση στο Οινοποιο του Κτήματος Στροφυλιά  www.strofiliawines.gr   Εξερευνήστε αυτόν τον αμπελώνα με ντώπιες και διεθνείς ποικιλίες σταφυλιού από διαφορετικά terroirs στην Αττική και την Πελοπόννησο. Περπατήστε ανάμεσα στα αμπέλια Σαββατιανού και Μαλαγουζιά και γευτείτε τα κρασιά στο φυσικό τους περιβάλλον.
